What do you do now compared with when you joined tr?
Hello everyone,
I know we have not been playing as much as a cohesive whole and thought it might be fun to post on what is going on with you right now.
It might be a fun way to get a little insight into how our community has grown and changed over the years.
I think we should keep the format the same and will make it fun.
(When did you join TR)
Year/Month/ (besst you can rember
what did you do then
Job status, life / anything you really want to say
What do you do now
Job status, life etc
just trying to post something to do. I will go first in my next post. _________________ the man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed

Joined {TR} -- founder (Sometime in 2002?)
*******THEN********
Job: I worked for JCPennies, I folded shirts and stocked clothes. I had just begun messing around with computers. I started TR because my friend KANE moved to San Diego to go to college and it was a cool way to stay in touch.
Status: Single (what were women? i was to busy building lego robots)
I wrote crappy poems and was a very depressed individual, i had a tough spell just trying to figure out what i wanted to do.
TR changed that for me, it was a place with great people and somewhere I found people who i got along with and where i was appriciated for who i was. TR was actually the birthplace of who i am now, as you will see.

********NOW*******
Status: Engaged --- found a crazy lady who decided to put up with my antics
Job 1. Work for an Wastewater engineering firm as their internal software developer, i program in PHP/.NET/vbs/shell/ and use MYSQL / MS SQL/XML/HTML etc yada yada.
all of these languages are directly attributable to {TR} I started learning linux for our servers when i started SubZeroPing, i learned php for szpanel and i learned shell for "servergod"
Job 2. Consult for Hewlett Packard -- dont know for how long, but am developing a desktop application to interface with internal hardware requirements
Job 3. SubZeroPing -- It still lives!! however not as a game provider, i mainly use it when i provide custom software design/computer fixes etc, i design database driven websites on the side.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to catch up. I was just thinking about it as i was coding tonight, and for me, {TR} could quite possibly be the greatest thing that ever happened to me,
It prompted my intrest in programming which has become my passion and luckily i get paid to do it.
As always

what changes?
I've worked for the same company. Joined TR when I lived in Vancouver. Moved twice since then and now moving back to Vancouver. Nothing has changed for me at all except that it isn't MOHAA anymore...
Oh yeah! Had 2 kids along the way. Don't know how I forgot that.

I joined TR in 2004. I was engaged to be married and living in Lakewood, CA. I worked as a consultant for an aerospace company in Irvine, CA. Played games during my freetime and ate a lot of pizza.
5 years later:
I'm married with a little boy (21 months old), and a little girl on the way. All that pizza added 20 lbs since then. I'm still working for the same Aerospace company, but I'm a full time employee now. I still play games in my free time which has pretty much become "Daddy's special 1 hour a night". _________________

Wow, TR then and now makes me think of how some things have changed and some things stayed the same.
Then: Joined TR back in the MOHAA days. Freshman year of high school so it was 2002. I was 14 and basically just played video games all the time. Had no real job, no girl friend, and no plan in life beyond when the next MOHAA match against SOC was.
Now: Im 22 now and still in school. Final year of undergraduate work before i start on my masters. Still play video games but only about 3 times a week. Mainly Supreme commander with fishbone or vulcan and Hawx with random people. I have a boring part time job, no girlfriend, and no real plan in life beyond when I'm going surfing next.
Things have shifted in my life. The hours i spent gaming, I now spend on school work. The nights I used to spend playing MOHAA and COD, i now spend sleeping or at bars. Some of my best memory's are hanging with TR and although I don't game as much as I used to, I will always wear the {TR} tags.
