Well my time at home has ended. Might be up to 4+ months before I can play with anyone again. Marine Corps combat training is next and then my MOS school at 29 palms if all goes well. I will keep in touch. Glad I got to talk to some of you on my leave. To everyone else hope I catch you next time!

You will hate the stumps unless you have a car.

If you have a car it's a short drive to LA, San Diego, or Vegas (there is a fun to drive back road that gets you to vegas quick).

What is you MOS?

I also did my school time at the stumps, hopefully they have updated it since I was there, nothing like 110 degrees when you live in a concrete squadbay with a swamp cooler made during the Korean war.

29 palms is about 2 hours from my house and 3 hours to san diego.

if you're able to get away i'm sure the san diego kids, parko and i should be able to as well...

I was there in '84 or '85 and spent most of the time in those crappy old squadbays at the bottom of the hill/straight down from the good barracks, that were by the ponds.

The permanent personell got the decent rooms.

Hello everyone well I have just got my laptop here at 29 stumps. Not to bad here so far enjoying my first libo in the corps. Judging on where you said your squadbays were partial I am up in the good barracks on the hill, funny tho there are even nicer ones above us lol As for my MOS I am 0651 Data network specialist. 2 weekends from now I will have fun libo and be able to leave base and go anywhere. (like you guys said I have no car so what little good that does me) I am a 20 year old Marine so the E club does me no good or else I prob would be drunk like trip was. No way I can fit my comp tower in my room but I do have room for my 26 inch tv and xbox so I guess that is my new source of gaming for the next 5 months. Trip seems to have gotten lucky there are 4 per room here all tho the other 2 are leaving on the 5th so I will have the room with my buddy for a few weeks hopefuly. Hopefuly if any of you are bored enough to drive out to 29 stumps for a weekend you could get me outta this place :-p I talked to sds about it he said they might come up here to go camping at big bear or somthing. Anyway the corps is treating me good can't complain...yet. Hope to hear from you all soon.
